Seatbelt is designed to be your university platform, that makes applying for studylink easier and paying your debt off faster.

Utilising Real Me as the official and secure way to prove who you are online, at the same level as your passport or photo ID. A Real Me login gives you access to multiple online services under the same username and password, and Seatbelt brings the appropriate government partys together.

Heres how it works:

Create your Real Me profile, then verify it online by integrating your login with your very own New Zealand bank account.

Seatbelt connects Studylink, IRD, New Zealand Banks and New Zealand Universities, all on a digital platform.

Once verified you can begin your study link application and get prepared for university.

At any point, of the application process, if you are confused or struggling, simply open the chat feature to communicate directly with a Studylink staff member. If, this ends up being an issue for another department, you can choose to share your conversation with any of the other participating parties. This brings them up to date, and you aren’t being thrown around a call centre.

With seatbelt, you are always in control.

The seatbelt app is designed to keep you in the loop, during and after study.

The progress page, lets you see how your loan is progressing and encourages you to make small but regular payments to meet goals and receive rewards.

Swipe left to bring up your notifications, the most urgent at the top, these can be reminders from study link or universities or you can even set your own to remind you about rent or birthdays. The app also brings in the same integrated chat feature, so you can always communicate directly if you are having any troubles.

In the settings you can set filters to receive notifications about things that matter most to you, these range from loan changes, buying a house, travelling overseas or even having a family.

Or swipe right to bring up your studylink page, once your loan is approved you have access to more features, like applying for course related costs or adjusting your living cost payments. 

One of the best features though, at the end of the year, if you are situation has not changed you can simply resubmit your study link application details. 

With seatbelt, your future revolves around you.
